The Environmental Legal Register is a vital and integral part of our ISO14001-accredited environmental management system. It is necessary to maintain an up-to-date register in order to retain our certification.
The Legal Register displays all environmental legislation and other requirements that are applicable to our activities and lists significant forthcoming legislation that we should monitor for future developments.
In addition, the Legal Register indicates how this legislation and other requirements affect us and our level of compliance.
The Aspects Register displays all our environmental aspects and impacts. Each aspect is assessed for its significance. Significant aspects must be controlled through work instructions or improvement programs; therefore ensuring that we minimise our impact on the environment.
The registers are kept up to date through annual site visits and monthly email updates from Waterman Environmental. The Ardagh Glass administrator also has access to update our applicability and compliance sections so that the register remains up to date with developments at our site.
